Carpet cleaning is a mixed bag for the Shark AZ950UKT.. It’s highly effective at surface cleaning, but deeper cleaning on thick carpets is more of an issue.The strong suction picks up top-level dirt with ease, but the bristles don’t agitate fibres enough to fully dig beneath the top layer.
Stubborn and embedded dirt often manages to survive another day, unless you’re willing to do several passes..The Shark does leave thick carpets and rugs fluffed up and refreshed, just not as thoroughly as we’d hoped for.Still, there’s a good balance of cleaning and movement, as the Shark is easy to push around when used on the right setting.. Again, it’s a tale of two sides for hard floors..The Shark is great for removing larger debris on hard surfaces.

It’s also brilliant for pulling up dirt from between floorboards..We found using the smaller floorhead with the handheld mode to be the easiest for stairs.
You still get plenty of power, but it’s small enough to get into those tight edges.It is a bit on the heavy side, though, so you may find your wrists start to ache by the last few steps..
